Classes for 11- 13-year-olds conducted both on Zoom and at Rabbi Greene’s house. Contact Rabbi Greene to register and receive the Zoom link and residence address.
Students meet every Sunday morning from 10-11 a.m., where they’ll learn that Judaism is caught, not taught! This hour is designed for the soon-to-be-adults in the eyes of Judaism who have, for whatever reason, not had the traditional Jewish schooling.
Sitting on the floor, interacting with other Jewish children, learning prayers and petting the dachshund Boychik are integral parts of the learning process. Emphasis will be placed on “Zie a Mentch,” be a Mentch rather than an impressive recitation of prayers for which they have no understanding of their meaning.
Their Bar/Bat Mitzvah, a ceremony acknowledging this milestone in their lives, will be custom-tailored to the needs and abilities of each person.
Suggested donation TBD.
