DESCRIPTION:Tisha B’Av marks the lowest point on the Jewish liturgical calendar\, commemorating the destruction of the First and Second Temples. \nSeven weeks later Jews around the world celebrate Rosh HaShanah. \nPlease join The L’Chaim Center on this seven-week + one more series of classes for the Yom Kippur journey from despair to light\, from Tisha B’Av to Rosh HaShanah (and Yom Kippur). \nEach class utilizes a contemporary song that helps shed light on a message(s) from the Torah Portion that aids in our spiritual preparation for the High Holidays. We’ll examine\, explore and discuss the most-common prayers recited during these services. \nClasses start at 7 p.m. Thursdays and run from Aug. 4 through Sept. 29. \nContact Rabbi Marcy for the ZOOM meeting link. \n
