Inspired and encouraged by Aishel House, Helen’s House offers home hospitality and support to Medical Center patients and others in crisis who visit Houston from out-of-town.
Guests can enjoy a comfortable place to stay with amenities and perks like gourmet teas and coffees, rides to and from the Medical Center, occasional home-cooked meals, a place to stay designed with the needs of patients in mind, bathroom supplies, and much more.
Volunteers for meals, rides and errands are needed.
Another project is turning the unremarkable backyard into an oasis — including a Biblical meditation garden. Guests can sit in the sunroom and look out or sit in their pajamas and enjoy coffee and birdsong on our shaded patio.
In keeping with the philosophy of The L’Chaim Center, hospitality is free but donations are appreciated.
