Pull up a virtual chair at The L’Chaim Center’s online Rosh HaShanah Seder (yes, you heard that right) from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20.

Rabbi Greene will cover themes and sumbols of the holiday period, prays, poetry, songs and jokes.

But you needn’t partake virtually. Food is at the heart of Jewish culture, especially during this High Holiday season. Here’s your shopping list, although you can join us at the table with just some or even none of these ingredients:

Grape juice or wine
Apples and honey
Fresh fruit something or other you haven’t had this year or at all
Pomegranate
Round Hallah
A shofar (optional)
Dates
Pumpkins/gourds
Beets
Leeks
Scallions or chives
Beans
Swedish fish (sounds better than a fish head!)
